Hello CFS Secondary Parents and Students! My name is Chrissie Bianchi, but I have been known around these parts as Miss B for 23 years! I started teaching 5th grade at CFS in 1995 and moved up to 6th grade within a few years. While I enjoyed the upper elementary grades, teaching English was my passion and I soon began teaching English in grades 6-9. Eventually I moved into administration at CFS, where I was so privileged to work with secondary student behavior, activities and missions. After taking a four-year detour in Orlando, Florida, as an 11th and 12th grade English teacher, I have returned to my roots and first love, junior high English. This year I am also teaching English 11/12, Bible 8 and a leadership elective.
Originally from Chicago, Ill, I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from John Brown University in Siloam Springs, AR, and a Master’s degree in Teaching from City University in Seattle. I am currently certified to teach K-6th grades as well and English 6-12th grades.
I love the Pacific Northwest and being on or near the water as much as possible. My dog Cooper and I enjoy going to dog parks and exploring walking trails. I also love to read and watch movies. You will always find me rooting for the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Sounders. My favorite sport to watch, however, is volleyball, particularly the young ladies that make up the team right here at CFS! GO EAGLES!!
