Hello 3rd grade parents and students! My name is Mrs. Sokolan. I have been a 3rd grade teacher for 15 years now and I absolutely LOVE it!
I began teaching at CFS in 2001, but before that I had lots of experience working with different ages, from preschool through high school. I obtained a degree in teaching in elementary education (1-8th grade) and Russian/Ukrainian language from the University of Ukraine, which transferred to the State of Washington. I taught in Ukraine and public schools, but none can compare to the experience that I have had teaching at CFS. I love CFS because we are all a family here. Not only do I love my job, but also as a parent, I knew I could entrust CFS with all six of my kids, to enable them to gain a very strong education.
My motto for my class is to be the best you can be. My goal as their teacher is to bring the best out in them and grow and mature not only their physical beings, but also their spiritual beings. While I want them to continually learn new things, I also enjoy when they are having fun!
I look forward to this year teaching alongside with you parents and students.
