Athletics

Athletics are an integral part of the Christian Faith School day. Student athletes have a responsibility to manage their time in order to commit fully to their teams, their teammates and the obligations that come with team participation. Learning to balance coursework and athletics can be challenging, but mastering this process is one of the great benefits of an educational athletic program.

With regard to interscholastic sports, coaches, athletes, and fans are expected to represent Christian Faith School with the highest level of respect, moral character and integrity both on and off the playing field. As an institution, CFS rejects a “win at all cost” approach to competition and values honorable pursuit of victory over scoreboard results. CFS strives to win games, meets, matches and championships, but never at the expense of its principles. CFS celebrates the virtues that athletic competition can instill, such as teamwork, selflessness, sacrifice and resilience, and recognizes that success in these areas will ultimately produce favorable results in all areas of life.

Finally, athletics are a tremendous source of pride for the CFS community. CFS cherishes the opportunity to come together in support of its teams and to display appreciation for the efforts on the playing fields. CFS participants bring passion and spirit to all athletic events and civility with regard to spectator conduct. CFS never takes for granted the privilege of participation, recognizing how fortunate it is to partake in the dynamic experience that is youth sports. Most of all, the athletic experience at CFS should be an enjoyable one for all involved.
