PURPOSE:  To acknowledge and reward students who have exhibited outstanding performance in school leadership and academics at Christian Faith School.

 

 

AWARD:  Tuition scholarship awards will be based upon grade level:

                                               

                        9th   grade student award:  25% tuition scholarship

10th grade student award:  50% tuition scholarship  

11th grade student award:  75% tuition scholarship

12th grade student award: 100% tuition scholarship

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Scholarship qualifications will vary according to the scholarship applying for and are subject to change on an annual basis. See the attached qualification guidelines for details.

PROCEDURE:

Note:  Applications missing required attachments/information will not be considered.

 

1.    Eligible students will submit a completed application before the deadline.

2.    The scholarship committee will review application.

3.    Awardees will be announced at the Awards Assembly in the spring prior to award year.

4.    Scholarships are non-transferable.

 

 

DEADLINE: Scholarship application deadline for all applicants will be April 15th.

Scholarship Qualification Guidelines

 

 

 

Freshmen Service - 25%  Tuition Scholarship

  • Acceptance to CFS
  • New or returning student to CFS
  • Minimum of 3.0 grade point average or higher
  • Letter of recommendation from a pastor
  • Letter of recommendation from a parent other than your own
  • 250 word typed essay; must include:  Why do you want to attend CFS?  What areas of service have you been involved in?  How do you see serving as a part of your future?  How has participation in service enabled you to be an example of Christ?  What significant contribution will you make at CFS through service?
  • Deadline: April 15th  

 

 

Sophomore Music/Arts/Drama - 50% Tuition Scholarship

  • Acceptance to CFS
  • New or returning student to CFS
  • Minimum of 3.0 grade point average or higher
  • Music or Drama: 2 to 3 minute video of performance
  • Art: minimum of 3 samples of art work, maximum of 6
  • Letter of recommendation from a pastor
  • Letter of recommendation from an art, music or drama teacher (one letter)
  • 250 word typed essay; must include:  Why do you want to attend CFS?  Why do you love drama, art or music?  How do you see this being a part of your future?  How has participation in drama, art or music enabled you to be an example of Christ?  What significant contribution will you make at CFS?
  • Deadline: April 15th  

 

 

Junior Academic – 75% Tuition Scholarship

  • Returning student of CFS only
  • 3.75 – 4.00 grade point average
  • Letter of recommendation from a CFS teacher
  • Letter of recommendation from a pastor
  • 500 word typed essay; must include:  Why do you want to continue to attend CFS?  How do you think having academic excellence will influence your future?  How has having academic excellence enabled you to be an example of Christ?  What significant contribution will you make at CFS?
  • Deadline: April 15th  

 

 

Senior Scholarship of Excellence in honor of L. I. Puang   (Leadership in Ministry, Business or Student Government) – 100% Tuition Scholarship

  • Returning student of CFS only
  • 3.75 – 4.00 grade point average
  • Letter of recommendation from a CFS teacher
  • Letter of recommendation from a pastor
  • 500 word typed essay; must include:  Why do you want to continue to attend CFS?  How have you used your leadership skills to be an example of Christ on and off campus?  What significant contribution have you made at CFS?
  • Deadline: April  15th

Senior Golden Graduate Scholarship – 100% Tuition Scholarship

  • Must have attended CFS all 1st - 11th grades
  • Letter of recommendation from a CFS teacher
  • Letter of recommendation from a pastor
  • Minimum of 3.0 grade point average or higher
  • 500 word typed essay; must include:  Why do you want to continue to attend CFS?  What strengths or benefits do you think you have gained from attending CFS all 1st -11th grades?  What significant contributions have you made at CFS?
