Merit -Based Scholarships


High School Scholarship Program 

PURPOSE: To acknowledge and reward students who have exhibited outstanding performance in community outreach, campus life or academic leadership at Christian Faith School.

AWARD: Tuition scholarship awards will be based upon one of the following:

Community Outreach Scholarship

For students who serve others outside of their school and church community.

Campus Life Students

For students who are focused on school, contribute to campus life, leads in school activities and display a servants heart.

Academic Leadership Scholarship

For students who have have excellent grades, a strong course load, classroom leaders, a classroom participant, critical thinker, display a strong Biblical World View.

No Regrets Scholarship in Honor of Benjamin Skagen & Andrew Lusink

For students who demonstrate a zest for life and missions, are courageous & active in school, tenacious, full of vision and purpose with a love for Jesus.

Senior Golden Graduate Scholarship

For student who has attended CFS continuously 1st through 11th grade.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications vary according to the scholarship applying for and are subject to change on an annual basis. See the qualification guidelines for details. 

PROCEDURE:

Note: Applications missing required attachments/information will not be considered.

  1. Eligible students must submit a completed application before the deadline. 
  2. The scholarship committee will review application. 
  3. Awardees will be announced prior to the award year.
  4. Scholarships are non-transferable. 

DEADLINE: Application packet will be available January 29, 2017 (located at the top right of this page). Scholarship application deadline for all applicants is April 17, 2017 for students entering High School in the 2017/2018 school year.

 

Note: Application for scholarship is not a guarantee of award. We strongly recommend that you also submit an Application for Financial Aid. 

 

High School Scholarship Qualification Guidelines For 2017-18
DEADLINE: April 17, 2017

Academic Leadership – $2,500.00 Tuition Scholarship

  • For students who have excellent grades or with a strong course load .
  • Display classroom leadership, participation, critical thinking and a strong Biblical World View.
  • Returning full time student of CFS only.
  • Minimum of 3.75 GPA
  • Completed Scholarship Program Application.
  • Three letters of recommendation from adults other than your parents/guardians. One must be from a CFS teacher. 
  • 500 word typed essay; must include: Why do you want to continue to attend CFS? How do you think having academic and leadership excellence will influence your future? How has having academic and leadership excellence enabled you to be an example of Christ? What is your vision for how you will make a significant contribution in the community, local church and at CFS? 

 

Campus Life - $2,500.00 Tuition Scholarship

  • For students who are focused on school and contribute to the CFS campus life.  A servant involved in leading school activities. 
  • Returning full time student of CFS only.
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Completed Scholarship Program Application
  • Three letters of recommendation from adults other than your parents/guardians. One must be from a CFS teacher. 
  • 250 word typed essay; must include: Why do you want to attend CFS? How are you involved in leading and being a servant on campus with student activities? How do you see this as being a part of your future? What is your vision for how you will make a significant contribution at CFS? 

 

Community Outreach - $2,500.00 Tuition Scholarship

  • For students who serve others outside of their school and church community.
  • Returning full time student of CFS only.
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Completed Scholarship Program Application
  • Three letters of recommendation from adults other than your parents/guardians. One must be from an organization that you volunteer for in the community .
  • 250 word typed essay; must include: Why do you want to attend CFS? What areas of service have you been involved in and how many hours do you serve in each area per month? How do you see serving as a part of your future? How has participation in service enabled you to be an example of Christ? What is your vision for how you will make a significant contribution community, local churches and at CFS through service? 

 

No Regrets Scholarship – $2,500.00 Tuition Scholarship: In Honor of Benjamin Skagen & Andrew Lusink

  • For students who demonstrate a zest for life and missions, are courageous & active in school involvement, tenacious, full of vision and purpose, and display a love for Jesus. 
  • New or returning students of CFS.
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Completed Scholarship Program Application
  • Three letters of recommendation from adults other than your parents/guardians. One must be from a teacher or pastor 
  • 250 word typed essay; must include: What do you love about CFS? What activities have you been involved in at school and/or the mission field? How does your zeal for living life and your vision enable you to be an example of Christ? What is your vision for how you will make a significant contribution at CFS? 

 

Senior Golden Graduate Scholarship – $5,000.00 Tuition Scholarship

  • Returning full time student of CFS only.
  • Must have attended CFS uninterrupted 1st through 11th grades 
  • Completed Scholarship Program Application.
  • Three letters of recommendation from adults other than your parents/guardians. One must be from a CFS teacher.
  • Minimum of 3.0 GPA
  • 500 word typed essay; must include: Why do you want to continue to attend CFS? What strengths or benefits do you think you have gained from attending CFS 1st -11th grades? What is your vision for how you will make a significant contribution in the community, local church and at CFS? 

 

Note: An application for a scholarship is not a guarantee of award. We strongly recommend that you also submit an Application for Financial Aid where need exists.
